How to interpret multiple reversed cards in one spread?

Hi everyone, I’m pretty new to tarot and did my first three-card spread yesterday. Out of the three cards, two came up reversed, and honestly, I’m a bit confused on how to read that. Are reversed cards always bad or negative? Also, if you get more than one reversed card in a spread, does that change the overall message? Any tips on how to interpret these would be really helpful since I’m still learning the basics. Thanks in advance!

You asked if reversed cards are always negative. Honestly, I haven’t seen convincing proof of that. Seems to me it depends heavily on the reader’s own biases.

Hey TomSkeptic23, welcome to the world of tarot! I totally get your question about “if you get more than one reversed card in a spread, does that change the overall message?” From my experience, reversed cards don’t necessarily mean something is bad or doomed. Sometimes they show where energy is blocked or needs attention in a gentler way. Like in my last reading, I had the Hanged Man reversed and the Star reversed, which for me meant a pause in hope but also the chance for new insight. So definitely look at how the reversed cards interact with the upright ones and your question.
