Has anyone successfully gotten a refund after an unsatisfying tarot reading?
hey folks, just had a 15-min tarot reading on one of those popular platforms that charges $3.99 a minute. got really generic answers tho, like stuff you’d expect from a cookie-cutter psychic script. i was hoping for something more personalized or insightful and honestly feel a bit ripped off. anyone here tried getting a refund when stuff felt too vague or unhelpful? how’d you approach customer support without sounding rude or entitled? any advice on wording or steps to take would be much appreciated.

i worked customer service for a psychic reading site a while back, so here’s what i learned. most places have a no-refund policy unless there’s a technical issue or the reader was outright rude/offensive. if you want to try, be polite and stick to facts like: “the answers were very generic and didn’t address my specific questions, i was hoping for more detailed insight.”
also, mention the date of your session and the reader’s name. sometimes they offer credits instead of money back, so ask about that if a refund is off the table. your chances increase if you complain within 24 hours.
sorry if this is a dumb question, but is a refund normal for psychic readings? how does that even work since it’s not like a product? is there usually a time limit to ask? i’m new to this and worried i might waste money without knowing what to expect. also, what kind of reasons count as valid for refunds?

thanks for the tips, hollow_pebble2020. i guess i should check if the platform offers credits or just cash refunds. i only emailed support once, saying i was disappointed but didn’t get any response yet. i’ll try to mention the reader’s name next time and be specific about the generic nature of the answers.
refunds in this industry are rarely given unless the site messed up technically. if the reading felt generic, that’s subjective and hard to prove.
be clear, polite, and brief when you contact support. ask if they have store credit or a satisfaction guarantee. prepare to accept a no refund answer. budgeting for these readings means accepting some risk.

so from what i’m gathering: most platforms don’t usually give refunds unless there’s a technical problem or really obvious fault, but they might offer store credit instead. and timing is a factor — you gotta act fast, within a day or so?
it’s also really important to be polite but specific when you reach out, pointing out exactly why the reading didn’t meet expectations like saying the answers were too generic. does anyone know if some platforms are more flexible than others about refunds?
