Does asking personal questions affect the accuracy of a psychic reading?
hey all, just had a phone reading where the psychic asked a lot about my background right at the start – stuff like my job, relationships, even some family details. made me wonder, is this pretty normal? i get that some info might help set the vibe or context, but it felt a bit like fishing for stuff rather than clairvoyance. does sharing personal info actually change how accurate a reading is, or is it mostly about the psychic’s skill? curious if others have noticed this or have thoughts on whether you should hold back info or be open during a session.

oh, i’ve definitely noticed psychics ask a lot upfront during my readings too! i think it can actually help them tune in better. like, when they asked about my relationships or recent changes, the cards they pulled made way more sense because they had that context.
so when you said “it felt a bit like fishing for stuff rather than clairvoyance,” i get why that felt odd. sometimes it does seem like they’re gathering clues instead of purely sensing energy. but for me, sharing personal details usually leads to readings that hit closer to home, especially by the second half of a 20-minute phone read.
not saying it’s the same for everyone though! some readers i’ve tried just start without questions and still get accurate info. might depend on the style or how the psychic works best.
